2025/26 Mid-Season Update

Date: December 30, 2025

Location: Lake Placid, USA

Hello everyone,

A quick update on how the season is progressing. My team has officially completed 8 of the 14 races in North America that will determine my qualification for the upcoming Olympic Games.

We kicked things off in Whistler, BC, with a strong start across the board. In the 2-man races, we secured a 1st and 2nd place finish, and followed that up with 3rd and 4th place finishes in the 4-man.

From there, we moved to Park City, Utah. We managed to land on the podium in every race, taking 2nd place in both 2-man events and 3rd place in both 4-man events.

We arrived here in Lake Placid, NY, on December 26th to prepare for the final six races of the season with the Canadian Olympic team being announced between January 18th–20th. Selection is based on a combination of our international ranking and internal coaching discretion.

Upcoming Race Schedule:

  • January 2 & 3: 2-man Races
  • January 5 & 6: 4-man Races
  • January 10: 2-man Race
  • January 11: 4-man Race

Come Watch the Action!

For those of you from back home, there’s a chance to come and watch down in Lake Placid over the holidays!

  • Race Times: All races are scheduled for 2:00 PM, except for the final race on January 11th, which begins at 12:30 PM.
  • What to Expect: Typically, the women’s sleds race first (taking about 30 minutes), followed by the men. Heat 2 is run in reverse order based on the times from Heat 1. This means the fastest sled from the first heat goes last in the second heat!
  • Logistics: Times are subject to change, so be sure to check the Live Start List and Results for real-time updates.
  • Spectating: You can catch a shuttle up the hill by heading to the front doors of the Mountain Pass Lodge at Mount Van Hoevenberg (Google Maps Link Here).
  • LIVE STREAM: No livestream this week!

Thank You

I couldn’t do this without the help of my family and friends. Your support is what keeps me going through these long weeks of travel and competition.

I also want to recognize the incredible partners and sponsors who provide the resources necessary to compete at this level. Sponsors & Partners

Reid’s Dairy | Boys and Girls Club South East | CANFund | The Township of Stone Mills | Mike’s Pizza & More | JJS Abrasives | Army Navy Airforce Unit 377 & Pittsburgh Township Lions Club | Chantale Lussier, PhD, MPC – Mental Performance Coach | Caswell Canada | Rival Nutrition

As well, a huge thanks to the team at LRL Engineering. I really enjoyed working with them this summer and am incredibly grateful for the flexibility they’ve shown me this season.

Sharpening the Mental Edge

A special note on the “inner work” of this season. Working with Chantale Lussier, PhD, MPC has been an important part of my season. Chantale helps high-performance athletes “train the mind like the body.” This season we have mainly focused on mental strain and recovery.

Staying Physically Ready

Finally, a thank you to the various coaches who got me ready for the season and have kept me on track throughout! Phone calls, last minute open-gym requests, lifting program adjustments, and ongoing support. Amazingly, even some former high school coaches have their hands in my season. Thank you.
